Covid-19 Policy
BMC remains vigilant and conscientious about the workplace risks of COVID-19. Each workspace maintains a socially distant location and the plant employs technology in every aspect of manufacturing to reduce the amount of proximal human-to-human contact.
Resource Management at BMC
BMC maintains an accurate chemical inventory to reduce or eliminate the number of duplicated chemical containers. BMC catalogs chemicals at least once a year, identifies the storage locations of chemicals and eliminates chemicals from inventory once they are consumed. BMC dates chemical containers when they are received so that older ones are used first and not wasted. Any unwanted or unnecessary chemicals are tagged and labeled as hazardous waste so that they can be removed and purged from inventory. BMC is researching plant and water-based dyes to replace any potentially hazardous chemicals.
BMC measures plant water used to help analyze opportunities for water savings. This information is used to ensure equipment is running efficiently and maintained properly to prevent water waste from leaks or malfunctioning mechanical equipment.
BMC is working on tracking energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions but is thrilled that the on-demand manufacturing model is poised to lead to one of the greatest environmental savings, only eclipsed by the end of fossil fuel consumption.
