HOW DOES IT WORK?
To purchase your one-of-a-kind NFT, simply scan or click the QR code above. You will be taken to our NFT Sales Portal powered by Ivy.Cash, where you can pay with a credit card.
You will then receive your NFT on your phone. You will be asked to save your key or store to Apple Wallet, or copy to a safe place on other devices. The initial NFT you receive will be an ‘unrevealed image’ until the “Reveal,” which will take place on or around 1/15/23. Your digital NFT art piece will be unique to you, and the NFTs will have a variety of traits, some of which will be rare.
Your NFT will be revealed to you after minting completes and will become tradeable on OpenSea after the reveal happens. To sell your NFT on OpenSea, simply follow the on screen instructions. You may also purchase your NFT with crypto on OpenSea.
After the reveal, you can also choose to gift your NFT. You can do this simply by allowing the person you wish to gift it to, to scan the QR code immediately below the NFT on your phone. By doing this, ownership of the NFT will be transferred on the blockchain to the recipient - so be careful not to accidentally give this away!

The images you see above are an idea of the type of NFT you may get but take note that the big Reveal is coming soon after the launch. Each of our NFTs represents a different unique Wonderful Being.
Who Are The Wonderful Beings?
The drop contains 10,000 unique Wonderful Beings – women with a single ear. The Wonderful Beings represent strong women who have forged their own paths in life. They are Climate Warriors, and many of them carry weapons as a symbol of that role. The Wonderful Beings all have a single ear that indicates that they don’t necessarily listen to all the noise around them but have their own sense of true north.
The NFTs feature over 200 attributes, including different hair, accessories, weapons, and gear. Each attribute type was hand painted by the artist and later digitized to create 10,000 unique variations.

Who is the artist?
Hendrikka Waage is an internationally renowned artist and jewelry designer born in Reykjavik, Iceland. Hendrikka began painting her landmark series, “Wonderful Beings,” while studying at the London Academy of Arts. She has received extensive press coverage across several fashion and lifestyle magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Hello, and the cover of USA Today. She has studied drawing and painting throughout her life, inspired by her late mother, who also painted from a very young age.
Her art and designs are influenced by the rich cultural traditions of the countries where she has worked and lived, including Iceland, India, Japan, the UK, and Russia. Her work is dominated by vibrant colors, as Hendrikka believes rich colors enrich our lives.
Seaweed Cultivation
With the 15% of initial sales and royalties (after deducting taxes and fees), our goal is to raise and invest $500k for cultivating seaweed off the shores of the Sleepy Islands (Svefneyjar) and surrounding areas in Western Iceland. This will be done in close collaboration with the local innovation center Djupid, and local entrepreneurs.
Amazingly, seaweed captures approximately 20X the amount of carbon dioxide as trees on land.
We believe in the power of regeneration harnessed by the sea. KATLA is deeply inspired by the beauty of the ocean and is dedicated to building awareness about ocean regeneration through a community of ocean lovers. We need to take responsibility and participate in the healing of our planet.
